Augustana University’s Eide/Dalrymple Gallery will present “The Augustana Faculty Biennial,” an exhibition of recent work by university art instructors, faculty and visiting artists, from Nov. 5 through Dec. 5 in Sioux Falls, the university announced. A reception is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 6, with a gallery talk at 7:30 p.m., according to the announcement.
The exhibition includes two- and three-dimensional work in ceramics, digital painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, glass and public art, Augustana said. Featured artists include Jana Anderson, Izia Lindsay, Anthony Millette, Chad Nelson, Scott Parsons, John Henry Peters, Anna Reich, Lindsay Twa, Molly Uravitch and Anna Youngers.
The university said the artists’ work explores themes including environmental concern, cultural symbolism, the relationship between individual and universal experience, and the processing of struggles and trauma.
The gallery is in Augustana’s Center for Visual Arts at 30th Street and Grange Avenue, and admission is free, according to the university. Its listed hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.
